Description
This was the very first painting I painted after recovering from my stroke.
It represents the view of my bedroom window from The Bieslandhof, care home, where I had been staying for over 6 months already, mainly lying flat on my back…during that time I had had of course plenty of time to study the seasonal changes during that time in great detail! One day I dared join the Art Therapy group downstairs in (best decision I made!) the House & under great endurance this artwork was painted as I was too weak to sit up for long at all, but with the view from my window fresh on my mind, I started..…
Later I was able to continue & work in the peace& quiet of my own room..
”Four Seasons “ & “North Yorkshire Safe Haven” were born! By the end of the year I was invited to join an in-House Art Exhibition It was the perfect occasion to round of my first traumatic year !
