This is John and Alex, the sons of Liz/Elisabeth. Our mother asked us to write a message on her website.
Liz was in hospital recovering from some problems with her heart last week. On Friday, however, she had a massive stroke and is now in a serious condition in the same hospital. She is awake and can understand what is going on around her, but she is extremely weak and tired. She asked that we write to tell you all here so that you were aware of the situation.
She likes to hear about what is going on with all of you, so please email some stories or messages that we could read out to her to take her mind off things. She is a bit too weak to receive visitors or phone calls at the moment, but please stay in touch via email and facebook and we will read the messages to her.
