Turkey was the start of my professional artist career.
The project
My career as a professional artist started in 1990 at the studio of Orhan Taylan in Istanbul,Turkey. I visited his studio on a daily basis and studied there for a period of 3 years.
At the end of this period I had my first solo show in the Akbank Sanat Galerisi in Bebek, Istanbul.

Liz Strick is very successful in establishing a rhythm with her spatula technique and it is interesting to notice how she achieves lyrical effects unexpected from such a hard and unforgiving tool. Perhaps this comes from the joy of having found the right technique to release the emotions pent up in her heart and waiting to be expressed.
